The Metz boys’ soccer team won 2-0 against Unity Braxton on Wednesday, September 13. The home game was the first of the season.
Coach Reinhardt said, “The boys’ soccer team notched a win last night with a 2-0 victory over Unity Braxton. Both goals came in the first half. The first goal came off of Selvin Murillo’s direct kick, which was placed in the back of the net by Patrick Miller. The second goal was a pass from Kirian Avila to Donovan Jackson, who rolled the ball between the goalie’s legs. Special mention to the defensive line – Mynor Amarra, Selvin Murillo, Jayden Araujo, and Kevin Escobar who, along with goalie Alexis Canessa, shut down Unity’s scoring opportunities. Cheer for the team next week at home as they take on Reagan on Monday and Gainesville on Wednesday.”
